Q: Are your therapists registered and licensed?

A: Yes. All of our Physical Therapists, Acupuncturists, and Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) are fully licensed with their respective professional colleges/associations. Our practice strictly adheres to regulatory standards and professional guidelines, and our services are recognized by all major Canadian insurance companies. Our clinical focus is on physical rehabilitation, injury recovery, and relieving muscle soreness from work or sports—rather than spa-style relaxation.

Q: How do I book an appointment?

A: You can easily book online through our self-service reservation system. Alternatively, you can reach out via WeChat or phone using the details on our Contact page. Appointment availability depends on each therapist’s working schedule.

Q: Do you accept referrals from family doctors and specialists?

A: Absolutely. Our therapists have extensive clinical rehabilitation experience and regularly collaborate with local community physicians. We welcome referrals from all doctors to assist patients recovering from fractures, joint injuries, nerve damage, sports injuries, and post-surgical procedures.

Q: Do you accept Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) insurance?

A: Yes, we accept MVA insurance. We work closely with your physician and legal team to provide comprehensive rehabilitation, helping you recover as quickly and safely as possible.

Q: How do I access rehabilitation care after a car accident?

A: If you are involved in a collision, you can request and submit an OCF-1 (Application for Accident Benefits) form to your insurer at any time within 2 years of the accident—even if you did not initially report an injury. No physician referral is required, and regardless of fault, injured parties are entitled to the Medical and Rehabilitation Benefits. Furthermore, accessing these benefits will not increase your future auto insurance premiums.

Q: Does your clinic offer Direct Billing?

A: Yes! We accept all major Extended Health Care (EHC) plans and offer direct billing to most insurance providers, ensuring a seamless and worry-free experience for your care.

Q: What should I prepare for my first appointment?

A: Once your booking is confirmed, we will send you an online intake form to fill out before your visit. Please check with your insurance provider in advance to confirm whether a physician’s prescription is required for coverage. If you would like us to process direct billing, please bring your insurance card and arrive 5–10 minutes prior to your appointment time. We also recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing so your therapist can easily examine and treat the affected area.

Q: Do I need to give 24 hours’ notice for cancellations?

A: Yes. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us by phone or WeChat at least 24 hours in advance. For late cancellations made within 24 hours without prior notice, we forgive the fee for your first occurrence. For any subsequent late cancellations, a $50 fee will apply. Please note that cancellation fees cannot be billed to insurance and must be paid out-of-pocket.

Q: Does your clinic accept Sun Life insurance?

A: Yes. Our clinic and all of our registered therapists accept Sun Life, as well as all other Canadian health insurance providers.
